Interlocking Systems

 

Interlocks designed with trapped and released key. Central lock is defined by the number of trapped and released keys at an initial status. (For example an ELC12 lock has 2 trapped keys).

Principle for the ELC12 Interlock:
 - Insert and turn key 1 which becomes trapped. Turn and release key 2 and then turn and release key 3.

ELC11:
 - 2 keys: 1 released key - 1 trapped key

ELC12:
 - 3 keys: 1 released key - 2 trapped keys
